Alamance Community College issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.

The Alamance Community College Foundation partnered in December with Alamance-Burlington Schools to offer ten gift vouchers toward a free Workforce Development continuing education class or workshop at the College, a value up to $183 and good through November 1, 2022.

The gift certificates can be used for a variety of continuing education classes offered at ACC, from teacher certification classes, to computer classes, to Spanish classes or a personal enrichment class such as stained glass.

One gift voucher was distributed to each of the ten high schools, the employee recipient to be determined by the principal through a raffle or other means.

“It’s a great way to continue to build strong partnerships with the local high schools and to market Workforce Development programs to ABSS employees,” said Carolyn Rhode, Executive Director of the ACC Foundation.

The ACC Foundation gift vouchers were provided to Graham High, ABSS Early College, Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC), Eastern Alamance High, Alamance Virtual School, Southern Alamance High, Ray Street Academy, Western Alamance High, Williams High, and Cummings High.

“We are lucky to have ACC and what you all do to support our students and staff in ABSS,” said Eric Yarbrough, principal at Eastern Alamance High School.
