The 2nd Friday Art Walk will take place on January 9 in downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill. The event offers visitors the chance to explore local art galleries, artist studios, shops, and restaurants. In addition to visual art displays, attendees can experience live music, performances, and spoken word poetry. Most venues will be open during late afternoon and evening hours.
Exhibits at Carrboro Town Hall and the Drakeford Library Complex are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Participating locations include Ackland Art Museum, AretĂ© Wellness Studio, The ArtsCenter, The Beehive Salon, Content Matters, FRANK Gallery, The Frame & Print Shop at University Place, Krave, Lapin Blue, Lanza’s CafĂ©, LIGHT Art + Design and Oneoneone, Mary Elizabeth Arts, Meantime at the Junction, The Moxy Fox, My Muses Card Shop, North Carolina Crafts Gallery, Peel Gallery + Photo Lab, This & That Gift Gallery, Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe, The Wallflower Gallery and WomanCraft.
