The Carrboro Town Council announced on Apr. 15 that its next meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at Carrboro Town Hall, located at 301 W. Main St.

The council invites members of the public to attend in person or view the livestream via YouTube or the town’s legislative calendar website. The agenda for the upcoming meeting is available online, and a direct link to the YouTube livestream has been provided.

During its most recent session on April 14, the council issued several proclamations and resolutions recognizing Arbor Day, Earth Month, Poetry Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Local News Day, and honored Ms. Mae Belle McLendon with a resolution. Additional actions included granting a permanent easement on town-owned property at 604 Jones Ferry Road and adopting both the Orange County Heat Action Plan and changes to the Racial Equity Commission membership structure. The council also adopted national emergency management systems protocols and amended regional hazard mitigation plans while receiving updates on capital improvement planning and proposed funding for fiscal year 2027.

Regular business meetings are generally held on the first and third Tuesdays each month; work sessions occur typically on second Tuesdays without public comment or voting.
