Come join a thriving and diverse team committed to excellence and fun! We provide flexible, part-time hours and a positive environment for individuals who are professional and are looking to grow. We are now recruiting at all our locations. 

Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation is dedicated to providing exceptional recreational and cultural opportunities that enhance the quality of life in Chapel Hill. Residents and visitors alike love our facilities and recreation programs because we hire energetic, creative people and provide them with excellent training and guidance to deliver high quality experiences.

We are now accepting applications for lifeguards, camp counselors, and camp coordinators and swim instructors. Our competitive rates for summer positions range from $10 – $17 per hour.

When you join our team, you’ll learn and develop interpersonal and leadership skills and improve your communication and critical thinking. You’ll be on the front lines for developing collaborative and creative skills.   

The Town of Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation Department offers positions at various locations.  

  • A.D. Clark Outdoor Pool
  • The Chapel Hill Community Center
  • The Hargraves Recreation Center
  • The Homestead Aquatic Center
  • And various other locations via our Specialty Camps
