City Of Locust issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.

Surveying will begin next week for the upcoming construction on Rocky River Bridge, just west of the Locust City Limits.

The contractor is required to give NCDOT 30 days notice for when the east bound lanes will be closed and the traffic pattern will shift into single lanes on the westbound side of the bridge.

Please see flyer and maps for more details. The detailed plans are linked on our website below. This is an NCDOT project. As they provide us more information, we will keep residents informed.
