County of Orange issued the following announcement on Dec. 5. 

By order of the NC Court of Appeals, filing is temporarily suspended for NC House, NC Senate, and US Congress until further notice. More information on filing for office can be found:

The 2022 Primary Election will take place March 8. Early voting begins Feb. 17.
