Carrboro will observe Arbor Day on April 24 with a public native tree planting at Wilson Park. The event underscores over forty years of Tree City USA recognition for the town’s efforts in urban forestry.
The Carrboro Town Council will hold its next meeting on April 21 at Town Hall with options for public attendance both in-person and online. At their last session, council members passed multiple resolutions including those related to local events and emergency planning.
Carrboro has scheduled a volunteer cleanup event targeting invasive plants in the Adams Tract on May 17. The initiative continues multi-year efforts to protect local trees from harmful vines like wisteria.
