Dionte Neal from Reidsville and Oshauna Holland from Stuart Cramer have been named recipients of the OrthoCarolina Performance of the Month Awards for December in North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) competition.

Neal contributed to Reidsville’s success in both football and basketball. On the football field, he played a key role in leading his team to a 4A state championship title and was named Morgan and Morgan MVP. During the championship game, Neal scored a rushing touchdown, accumulated 159 receiving yards with two touchdowns, and added an interception and a fumble recovery on defense.

In basketball, Neal has signed with UNC Greensboro. He led Reidsville to an 8-1 start for the season, averaging 34 points per game on 68 percent shooting from the field. Additionally, he recorded eight assists per game and seven steals per game throughout December.

Oshauna Holland stood out during December as well. She averaged 33 points per game on 58 percent shooting from the field for Stuart W. Cramer. Holland achieved three double-doubles and one triple-double during the month, helping her team begin their season with a 13-1 record.

Holland is now among the top ten scorers on the NCHSAA all-time scoring list, with more opportunities ahead this season to improve her ranking. Last year, she scored 49 points in the state championship game at Wake Forest University, where she is set to play after graduation.

“Congratulations, Dionte and Oshauna!”
