Hillsborough Police Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Hillsborough police are asking the public for information related to an armed robbery that occurred at about 9:15 a.m. today, Aug. 26, at a convenience store and gas station on South Churton Street.
Two masked subjects entered Circle K’s Kangaroo Express at 500 S. Churton St. armed with handguns. They demanded money from the business and a customer. An employee of the business sustained minor injuries during the robbery and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
