TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL: Summer Camp Registration Begins April 5

Summerkids

Town of Chapel Hill issued the following announcement on Mar. 28.

Summer camp registration is typically the busiest time of the year, with parents seeking multiple summer camp options available with our department. At Chapel Hill Parks and Recreation, we strive to present our customers with a positive experience in everything we do, including our registration process.

Campers ages 5-17 years will enjoy 10 action-packed weeks of Summer Day Camp this year, filled with swimming, arts and crafts, gym games, team building, and more. Our camp counselors help campers develop new skills and friendships while they play and interact together.

Other partial day specialty camps include Arts and Clay Camps, Youth Explorer Adventure Camps, Video Game Design and Animation, sports-theme camps and a Social Cafe for teens and adults with specialized needs.

Registration for residents residing in Orange County begins Tuesday, April 5, at 8:30 a.m. Non-residents may begin registering on Thursday, April 7, at 8:30 a.m.

Online and walk-in are two ways you can register. See our simplifying Camp Registration web page for details on this and answers to many other Frequently Asked Questions, as well as download your very own Summer Camp Guide.

There's lots to know and prepare for when deciding to register for our summer camps. It's important you plan ahead for our Full Day Camps, they fill up the fastest!

This year, we’re running all our camps at a reduced capacity. We’re doing everything we can to make sure as many kids as possible get to come to camp, and we appreciate your understanding.

Finally, we're hiring camp counselors, lifeguards, and swim instructors, too! You can apply online at townofchapelhil.org/jobs. Earn $10-$17 per hour in a fun environment where we care and provide great training.
