Alamance Community College issued the following announcement on Apr. 28.
Alamance Community College has named Bonnie Blalock as the Workforce Development Instructor of the Year for 2021-2022.
Bonnie Blalock is a longtime instructor in the College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program. Certified in this training for more than 25 years, she also has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University.
Blalock is retired from the Burlington Police Department where she worked as the Identification Supervisor. She sits on the board for the North Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators (NCIAAI) training committee, and the NC/SC International Association of Arson Investigators (NC/SC IAAI) annual joint conference training committee.
Blalock is the BLET’s Fingerprinting and Photography instructor due to her experience as a latent fingerprint examiner for the Burlington Police Department. She also served numerous times as an expert witness in the field of latent fingerprint examination in both Federal and State courts. She also assists in other blocks of instruction as a role player in practical exercises.
