Town of Chapel Hill issued the following announcement on June 27.
NC DOT is resurfacing West Franklin Street. The major resurfacing work will begin this week.
A contractor will resurface and re-paint the road with a design provided by the Town.
Crews can work 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday through mid-August.
