Town of Hillsborough Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.
Hillsborough police are seeking a woman believed to be involved in an armed robbery Monday morning at a State Employees’ Credit Union in Hillsborough and in similar crimes in and around Orange and Durham counties since.
Warrants have been obtained for Alicia Moles of Hillsborough for armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon. Additional charges are possible. Moles is considered to be armed and dangerous.
At about 6 a.m. Monday, Hillsborough police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the credit union located at 2313 Old N.C. 86. The victim reported he was approached at a gas station in town by a woman asking for a ride to her home. He said the woman brandished a firearm while in his vehicle and demanded he drive to an automated teller machine and withdraw money from his account. The woman then exited the vehicle and left on foot. The victim called 911.
