County of Orange issued the following announcement on March 29

As of Friday morning, March 31, the majority (18) of Orange County Transportation Services (OCTS) vehicles are out of service and turned in for repairs. This includes our mobility-on-demand vans. Regrettably, OCTS is compelled to temporarily suspend some of its services.

Orange County Transportation Services that will be temporarily suspended are:

  • the lunch transportation program
  • general shopping trips
  • Orange Enterprise Group
  • Mobility-on-Demand (MOD)
The temporary reduction in service is necessary to continue providing critical transportation needs such as non-emergency medical transportation, Dialysis Center transportation, and OCPT fixed route service.

We anticipate a return to full service after old vehicles are repaired and returned over the next few days and new vehicles are received this summer. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated and we apologize for the inconvenience to the Orange County community, especially its seniors.

Please contact Orange County Transportation Services at (919) 245-2008, should you have any questions. We look forward to returning to full service soon.
