Leah Shahum, founder of the national Vision Zero Network, will speak about improving safety for all on roads, sidewalks, and greenways at a community conversation in Chapel Hill Public Library Meeting Room B on March 28 at 6 p.m.

The Town of Chapel Hill is hosting various meetings and events throughout the week, including a Historic District Commission Special Meeting, a LUMO Update Public Information Meeting, and a Human Services Advisory Board Outside Agency Public Hearings on Monday, March 25. Additionally, there will be meetings on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday covering topics such as stormwater management, community design, and transportation and connectivity.

On Friday, March 29, most Town offices will be closed in observance of the Good Friday holiday, with some services being affected. Residents are advised to check for any schedule changes on the Town of Chapel Hill's official calendars.

Residents are encouraged to learn more about the Land Use Management Ordinance (LUMO) by attending Public Information Meetings on March 25 and March 27. These meetings will provide insights into the rules governing land use and development in Chapel Hill.

Furthermore, applications are open for vendors, nonprofits, and food trucks interested in participating in the Chapel Hill Pride Promenade on June 1. The deadline for applications is April 1 at 11:59 p.m. Participants are invited to wear their colors, wave their flags, and walk with pride during the event.

For more information on these events and others happening in Chapel Hill, residents can visit the Town's website, Chapel Hill Public Library, Community Arts & Culture, and Parks and Recreation pages.

Residents are encouraged to engage with the community and participate in events that promote safety, inclusivity, and civic involvement in Chapel Hill.
