Chapel Hill residents can expect some changes in services and operating hours during the upcoming Easter holiday weekend. According to the latest announcement, various facilities and services will be affected on Friday, March 29, and Sunday, March 31.
"RESIDENTIAL TRASH collection will not be affected," ensuring that residents will not experience any disruption in this service. However, "YARD TRIMMINGS will not be collected on Friday, March 29. No make-up day," reminding residents to plan accordingly for this particular waste collection.
For those utilizing CURBSIDE RECYCLING, it is important to note that "CURBSIDE RECYCLING will be collected on Saturday, March 30, instead of Friday, March 29," indicating a one-day delay in this service. Additionally, the "ORANGE COUNTY LANDFILL and WASTE & RECYCLING CENTERS will be closed Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31," prompting residents to adjust their disposal plans accordingly.
Business owners should be aware that "COMMERCIAL TRASH will not be collected Friday, March 29," with collections scheduled to be completed earlier in the week to accommodate the holiday closures.
The Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed on Sunday, March 31, while the Chapel Hill Transit system will be operational with adjustments.
