Children and families are in for a treat as they are invited to a free, magical day of art, adventure, and nature at the Magical Hill Festival and Fairy House Contest on April 27. Organizers of the event have highlighted that the Fairy House Contest is a standout feature of the whimsical gathering.

The event is set to take place at the Chapel Hill Community Center Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity by designing a home/lair for fairies and other mythical creatures, with the opportunity to enter the contest at the beautiful Strowd Rose Garden. Event judges will evaluate entries based on creativity, awarding prizes for Overall Best in Category, Most Creative, Most Enchanting, and a grand prize for Best in Show.

In preparation for the Fairy House Contest, participants have the option to enroll in a workshop on April 21 to create their submission. Additionally, individuals can register to make Fairy Wings at the Art in the Park program on April 13, offering a chance to add an extra touch of magic to their festival experience.

Aside from the Fairy House Contest, the Magical Hill Festival boasts a range of activities suitable for children of all ages, including food trucks, a fortune teller, various art activities, as well as indoor and outdoor adventure activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own wings and costumes to enhance the enchanting atmosphere of the event.

Admission to the Magical Hill Festival is free for all interested individuals. For further details about the event and the Fairy House Contest, organizers have directed attendees to visit the Magical Hill webpage.
