Chapel Hill Fire Department Investigates Rogerson Drive House Fire

Chapel Hill, Apr 18, 2024 - The Chapel Hill Fire Department responded to a tragic incident early this morning on Rogerson Drive. In a statement, the Fire Department reported, "The Fire Department found one person deceased inside the home. There are no other reports of injuries. No additional information is available at this time."

The initial call to the authorities came in at 1:37 am, prompting a swift response from the Chapel Hill Fire Department. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters were met with a fully engulfed home on Rogerson Drive. As a result of the fire, Rogerson Drive is currently closed off between Cleland Drive and Douglas Road.

Regarding the cause of the fire, the Fire Department stated, "The cause of the fire is under investigation and the Fire Department will share more information as the investigation allows."
