Missing 16-Year-Old Safely Located

Chapel Hill, NC - The Chapel Hill Police Department has confirmed the safe location of 16-year-old Esu Angela Tamir. In an update issued at 8:30 pm on April 25, 2024, it was announced that Tamir had been found.

Earlier in the day, a statement was released by the Chapel Hill Police Department, appealing for the community's help in locating the missing teenager. Tamir was last spotted at around 8:25 am in the 1100 block of NC-54. Descriptions provided indicated that Tamir is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, wearing a white sweater, blue jean shorts, and black shoes. Additionally, Tamir was carrying a black backpack and a black lunch box.

Despite the initial concern over Tamir's disappearance, it was reassured that she was not believed to be in any immediate danger.

Individuals with any information regarding Tamir's whereabouts were urged to contact the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 during office hours or call 911.
