Chapel Hill police seek public's help locating missing teenagers

The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking the community’s help in locating two missing teenagers. Investigators believe they may be together.

Karina Westerlund, 14, of Carrboro, was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday in the area of West Franklin Street and Church Street. Westerlund is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and was last seen wearing a green top, a black sweatshirt, and black pants.

Aliayah Yaneth Castro, 15, of Chapel Hill, was last seen around 7 p.m. Saturday in the area of Weaver Dairy Road near Kingston Drive. Castro is about 4 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds.

The teenagers are not believed to be in danger.
