Starting on Feb. 1, 2022, the Town of Carrboro website and emails will change their domain to .gov from .org.

The new domain will be CarrboroNC.gov. The .org website and emails are still operational and will be until further notice.

“This move further improves overall email security while increasing immediate recognition that the Town is a U.S.-based government entity,” said Andy Vogel, information technology director for the Town of Carrboro.
