Town of Chapel Hill issued the following announcement on Dec. 5. 

The Chapel Hill Police Department needs your help locating William Gunning, 16 years old, of Chapel Hill. 

Gunning was last seen around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, in the area of Nuttree Lane. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen riding a skateboard, wearing a black and yellow flannel shirt with unknown color Dickie’s brand pants. 

If you have information or see Gunning, please call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday) or call 911.
