Town of Chapel Hill issued the following announcement on Dec. 26.
Monday, Jan. 2, is a Town holiday. Some services will be affected. No residential trash collection.
Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed Sunday, Jan. 1. No Chapel Hill Transit service on Sunday, Jan. 1.
Some Parks & Rec facilities will be closed Dec. 31-Jan. 2.

The Town of Carrboro has opened applications for its Green Neighborhoods Grant Program, which provides up to $25,000 for projects that address climate change at the neighborhood level.
The 2nd Friday Art Walk will take place on January 9 in downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill.
