Town of Chapel Hill issued the following announcement on July 18.

West Franklin Street resurfacing begins on July 21 (weather permitting).

Resurfacing will start at Columbia Street and head west to Merritt Mill (outside lane)

Sunday Night: Resurfacing will start at Merritt Mill to Columbia Street (outside lane)

– Parking for lanes being resurfaced will be closed sometime during the day they are scheduled to be resurfaced. 

– Please encourage patrons and employees to park in off street parking lots (see parkonthehill.com for locations). 

– Cars in on-street parking at the end of the day will be towed to the opposite side of the street or into a nearby parking lot. 

– On-street parking will be open over the weekend as much as possible.
