Town of Hillsborough issued the following announcement on May 30.

Arrests have been made for all six suspects involved in a shooting earlier this month in a parking lot at Gateway Village Apartments in southern Hillsborough. The final suspect was arrested today, May 24.

Investigation by the Hillsborough Police Department determined the shooting on May 2 was the result of a drug transaction that turned into an armed robbery. Two people were injured in the incident that occurred at about 6:30 p.m. in which shots were fired at several people sitting in a car near the 200 building at Gateway Village.

The final suspect — Kellie Kincy, 24, of Greensboro — was arrested today and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Kincy is being held under $75,000 secured bond.

The Police Department would like to thank the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force for its help in locating and arresting Kincy. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the investigation.
