TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT: Police Seek Information in Fatal Shooting

Town of Hillsborough Police Department issued the following announcement on June 30.

Hillsborough police are seeking information in a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Hillsborough.

Officers from the Hillsborough Police Department responded at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to the parking lot of Bellevue Mill Apartments, 206 S. Nash St., in reference to a shooting incident. A 17-year-old male was found deceased at the scene. Witnesses stated a white sedan was seen leaving the area heading south at a high rate of speed.

At this time, police do not believe the shooting was random and do not believe there is any danger to the public.

The victim’s family has been notified.
