Town of Hillsborough issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.
Evening meetings on Nov. 16 and 18 will provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about aspects of the Comprehensive Sustainability Plan.
Comprehensive Sustainability Plan
The town is developing a comprehensive sustainability plan to advance its sustainability and resiliency goals, including its clean energy pledge.
The plan will guide future development and the transition to 100% clean energy, balancing environmental stewardship, resiliency and racial justice with smart growth that will allow for a thriving economy and a great quality of life for the residents of Hillsborough. It is expected to be completed in summer 2022. Additional information about the Comprehensive Sustainability Plan can found on the Comprehensive Sustainability Plan page on the town website.
Nov. 16
The Parks and Recreation Board is hosting a connectivity and sustainability planning discussion that is open to the community at 7 p.m. This discussion will result in connectivity recommendations that will be incorporated in the Comprehensive Sustainability Plan. For more information about the town’s transportation priorities, see this presentation given by Public Space and Sustainability Manager Stephanie Trueblood at the Board of Commissioner’s work session on Sept. 27.
The Parks and Recreation Board meeting will take place remotely using conferencing software and will be livestreamed to the town’s YouTube channel. Nov. 18
Consultants aiding in the development of the Comprehensive Sustainability Plan will present a brief overview of the plan elements to the Planning Board. The Planning Board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. and will take place using conferencing software and will be livestreamed to the town’s YouTube channel.
