Town of Hillsborough issued the following announcement on Sept. 11
Bulk items will be collected on garbage collection days Sept. 14-18, and residents are reminded to place only large items out for collection.
The town asks that residents only place items at the curb that can be collected using the truck’s claw arm to prevent the need for staff to handle items during the COVID-19 pandemic. Items currently being collected by the town include:
- Furniture
- Mattresses
- Appliances
- Water heaters
Bulk items are collected once a month on regular garbage collection days and may be placed at the curbside no earlier than seven calendar days before the scheduled collection date.
