Town of Chapel Hill issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
Chapel Hill Transit will provide Tar Heel Express shuttle service on Saturday, October 2, 2021, for the North Carolina v. Duke University football game at Kenan Stadium at noon. Remember to wear a face covering at all times while on transit vehicles, arrive as early as possible to avoid crowded vehicles and follow all COVID-19 safety precautions.
Shuttles will begin at 9 a.m. from the Friday Center Park and Ride Lot. Shuttles will begin at 10:30 from the Southern Village Park and Ride Lot and Jones Ferry Road Park and Ride Lot.
Shuttles drop off and pick up on South Road at Carmichael Auditorium and Woolen gym. The shuttles will provide continuous and fully accessible service, running every 10 to 15 minutes between the park and rides and Kenan Stadium, until 15 minutes after kick-off. An on demand return shuttle will operate until the end of the game, when full shuttle service resumes. The shuttles will operate for forty-five (45) minutes following the game.
Park and ride permits are not required during Tar Heel Express events.

Late Night with Hubert
Chapel Hill Transit will provide Tar Heel Express shuttle service on Friday, October 15, 2021, for Late Night with Hubert at the Dean Dome. Please note all customers will be required to wear face coverings while at the Park and Ride lots and while on the vehicles.
Shuttles will begin from the Friday Center Park and Ride Lot at 6 p.m.
Shuttles will run every 10 to 15 minutes between the park and ride lots and South Road. An on-demand return shuttle will be available until the end of the event, when normal shuttle service resumes.
